Judge Reinhardt, we love you still!
When I was in law school I wrote a letter to Judge Reinhard (to which he responded!) thanking him for his steadfast opinions on the 9th Circuit in the face of ever increasing pressure to play it safe (i.e. the Bush administration and the right’s movement to break up the 9th Circuit for being “too liberal”). Today that sentiment is truer than ever.
